TATE

Tate Collective asked for a re-imagined version of one of their paintings in Tate Britain. I decided to create a modern version inspired by Ophelia.

This piece was featured across billboards across London, winning Tate’s competition in 2020 and has also been featured on Hypebae, London Times, The Guardian and more.

A person relaxing in a bathtub filled with rose petals and candles, with a city skyline view at night through a large window. The bathroom has pink walls, a sink, a toilet, and decorative plants and roses.

The final piece.

Handwritten notes about Ophelia (1852), a damsel in distress who died tragically, inspiring the writer's desire to make her life better. Mentions therapy for trauma resolution, self-love, independence, and travel. References the river and a bath.

Initial ideation for the piece.
